FAQ
Why do Mexicans need a visitor visa for Canada?
Since February 29, 2024, IRCC reinstated the visa requirement for Mexican citizens. Exception: if you are flying and hold a valid US non-immigrant visa, or held a Canadian visa in the last 10 years, you can apply for an eTA instead of a visa. We confirm this with you before starting.
How long is a visitor visa valid?
Up to 10 years or until the passport expires (whichever comes first). Each stay is typically up to 6 months.
What documents do I need?
Passport, proof of funds, ties to home country, itinerary or purpose of travel, and forms IMM5257 + IMM5645. We help prepare everything.
Can I extend my stay from inside Canada?
Yes, via a Visitor Record. It’s a separate filing and must be submitted before your current status expires.
