Live data

IRCC processing times

Live data from the official IRCC site. Current view: temporary residence by country.

What these times mean

IRCC publishes how long it is currently taking to decide each type of application. The figures above are read straight from the official site, so they change when IRCC updates them. They are a historical average, not a promise: your case may be decided sooner or later.

How to read the table

  • Time is counted from when IRCC receives a complete application, not from when you start preparing it.
  • Applications filed outside Canada are processed per country, so the same application can take longer or shorter depending on where you file.
  • An incomplete or inconsistent file can fall outside the published times — which is why we check documents before filing.

Frequently asked questions

How often are they updated?

We show the current figure from the IRCC site each time the page loads; IRCC usually refreshes it weekly.

Can I speed up my application?

Priority cannot be bought. What does avoid delays is filing a complete, accurate application the first time.
