What is a DLI?
Designated Learning Institution — IRCC-approved school for international students. Only DLI programs qualify you for a study permit. We confirm your institution’s status.
How much money do I need to show?
For applications submitted on or after September 1, 2026, IRCC requires proof of CAD $23,448 for one person (outside Quebec), plus first-year tuition and transportation. IRCC updates the figure every year: confirm it on canada.ca. The proof-of-funds plan can mix bank balance, GIC, scholarships, and family sponsorship letters.
Is there a fast-track stream (SDS)?
No. IRCC closed the Student Direct Stream (SDS) on November 8, 2024; all applications now go through the regular study permit process. That is why a complete file from the start matters.
Can I work while studying?
Yes, up to 24 hours/week off-campus during the school term (cap raised from 20 to 24 in 2024) and full-time during scheduled breaks.
